This thick photo book captures the last figure of Scrapbook #67 in progress, an artwork by Shinro Ohtake for dOCUMENTA(13), before shipped from his studio in Uwajima, Japan to Kassel, Germany.
Shinro has been making scrapbooks as a daily activity since 1970’s and the 67th was especially huge in size, larger than one tatami. This book records all the pages of Scrapbook #67, full of collages, inks and paints to be distorted, stuck out, shone and heaved with time, because of the destructive power of gravity.
All the 422 pages are laser-printed in full color in the publisher's studio. The patented special binding effects very soft spine and the book easily opens 180-degree.
