The first solo photo book by Tamami Iinuma, a Tokyo-born architectural photographer based in Tokyo and Paris, presents a photographic approach to the architectural creations by celebrated modernists Le Corbusier and Kunio Mayekawa, especially the ones in the Ueno forest in Tokyo.
Her photographs present a visual abstraction of form and subject, where both human as architect and building as structure stand side by side as an interdependent unit in continuous dialogue with its built environ.
Beautifully designed with colored fore edge, in harmony with her photographs.
『建築の建築 - House of Architecture』は、都市建築と空間へ眼差しを注ぐ若手写真家、飯沼珠実の初の写真集。パリと東京を拠点に、現在東京藝術大学大学院に籍を置く彼女は、大学院近くの上野の森に点在する、ル・コルビュジエや前川國男の建築群に心惹かれ、周囲の木々や流れ行く時間と密に関わりあう建築物の姿をみずみずしく捉えた。美しいブックデザインを手がけたのは田中義久。めくるページの間や小口に現れる鮮やかな色が、写真の色彩と響き合う。
